Based on function and cleanliness level, operating rooms can be divided into two main categories: conventional clean operating rooms and special operating rooms. Conventional clean operating rooms are classified into standards such as Class 100, Class 1000, and Class 10,000 according to air cleanliness, and are suitable for routine surgeries such as general surgery, orthopedics, and ophthalmology. Special operating rooms include negative pressure operating rooms (to deal with infectious disease surgeries and prevent the spread of germs), digital operating rooms (integrating imaging and remote consultation systems to achieve surgical visualization and teaching collaboration), and interventional operating rooms (equipped with radiation protection equipment to perform cardiovascular and neurointerventional surgeries), etc.
